It was - International Club of DC event. Five live bands from all over the world, plus flamenco dancing and DJs in a Euronightclub setup. A change from the past four years, when we've gone to the Spy Gala (007). I think we enjoyed this more - international crowd of all ages. Seven ballrooms, 11 bars.

The only thing that marred the evening a bit was that the lovely young woman on the left was expecting her bf to propose that night and he didn't. Bad news...she was very upset and asked me for advice. I guess because I was older and had been around the block a few times. They have been dating for three years. She wanted to know how long I had been with the +1 before he proposed. Well, we aren't married but I told her my ex-husband of 24 years asked after a year. I'm afraid she won't get what she wants and should move on. He seemed to be full of excuses. At 32, if she wants to have kids, she really can't wait that much longer. Of course, guys don't have that problem. I have a feeling that this will not end happily for her.

Maybe if the front air inlet got clogged with snow and ice.
It hasn't been much better here than Up Nawth. Highs in the 30s and lows in the low 20s with plenty of wind to keep wind-chill near zero. Not what we moved here for.
I hope everyone up that way is surviving the Great Blizzard in good shape. Those pictures on tv news...yikes.
