Hey, as Doug so kindly stated I am the "PreVint lurker."

Me and April had a very good time. Thanks for allowing us to come along. Hopefully we'll get to cruise with you all again sometime.

Adam
Adam!!! No more lurking. It was great meeting you and welcome to the elite Pre-Vint group. Be safe.

and this statement sums up my feelings exactly. +1 and I often leave others scratching their heads when we talk about the s2ki club. We're an amazingly wonderful group of people who've developed an inexplicable relationship. We "chat" in the vw (virtual world) often, see each other seldom, but when we meet it is as if we've never been apart. You are wayyyy too young to be such a philosopher, but thanks for putting this into words, Rocket. You da man!!!!

I WANT PICS!!! Still bummed about missing what sounds like our greatest meet ever! My only consolation was that we were not exhausted when we went to see Tom Jones in concert last night. He was sensational!!

P.S. - Patty, Val..I forgot that my computer crashed recently so I don't have access to a scanner. I've been working off a low-end laptop with very limited capabilities as of late. I promise I'll get those prom pics up ASAP, I'm just not sure how soon that'll be quite yet.
^Perfect way of saying it, Rocket! That says it exactly for me.

I'll let you off the hook for the prom photos but only for a couple weeks. Then I'll rag on you again.

Hi everyone. Mary and I didn't get home till about 6:45 last night. Sharon and Denny, Dale and Mary and I spent some time in Marietta Sunday morning. We missed a turn near Athens and went out of our way on the trip home but it worked out great. We ended up heading down Ohio 93 from Logan all the way back down to US50. 93 was a beautiful, well maintained rural route with some stunning views. US50 from there all the way to Cincinnati. 50 is another beautiful road to drive, small towns, big open valleys, a real nice easy cruising road. We even had ice cream twice yesterday. What a day.

Thanks again to all those involved with organization and it was nice to meet all the new people we met and good to see those we've met before.

Well, for us the weekend ended about 10 minutes ago, when Tom & Hilly made the right turn out of the driveway. They stayed overnight here with us to break up the long drive. Tired though we were, we went out to Great Lakes Brewing Company for dinner last night, and it was worth the extra effort. Tom was thrilled with the Market Street Ribs, Hilly loved the Brewmaster's Pie, and the ice cream we had for dessert was to die for (ice cream made with their Edmund Fitzgerald Porter beer, with chunks of chocolate the size of golfballs - I kid you not!) Mmmmmm.

Finally a normal night's sleep, and pancake breakfast on the deck, before it gets too hot to be outside.

Now reality sets in again.

You people are the best. I'm very glad that you all had such a good time. I know that we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Let's do this again sometime!

O.K. - Back to planning SF '06!

Well this pre-vint thanks you all for making me feel so welcome and comfortable in your wonderful group. Once again, like SF'05, it's why I love being a part of this. Unbelievable time, I absolutely loved it.

Carmen and Suzanne, thank you for having me in your home and feeding me. (well, trying to over-feed me ) and for all you did for this event. I appreciate it more than I could ever convey to you.

Sam, thank you for leading our group and making it a very enjoyable and safe drive. Also, thanks for all the lights when my lighter died! Keep in touch since we're so close, and I'll try to make the drive for a car cruise night soon.

I enjoyed seeing Roy and Carole (standing order for all other meets: I'm in canberra's group! ), Craig and Gloria (see you at FC!), Matt and Barbara (best story tellers I've ever met!), granny (what a surprise! I knew she couldn't resist seeing me again ) and numerous others that I've met before at previous meets. And I'm glad to have met some new people as well. With each meet I can say how nice it was to have seen people again that I've met before. Neat how that works, huh?

I really can't express how nice it was to see and meet all of you and talk to you all even if it was just for a little bit. I chatted with just about everyone at one point or another and, just like SF'05, everyone was great. I can't wait to get together again.

Thank you all again. You make it very hard to be back at work.
