I gave the +1 an Ibanez electric guitars about three years ago. He plunked it for awhile, but then nothing. I almost got rid of it a couple of months ago, but he said keep it. Maybe he'll get going on it again. He spends a lot of time on his art and running.

Just saw a stat that says 82% of workers plan to work past age 65 or not retire at all.

Rob I see your Fiat is for sale. How is the guitar playing coming? I bought a guitar a few weeks ago and plan to spend time after retiring learning to play it.
I'm looking for a jazz bass. Lets start a band. We just need to find a drummer.

I don't know how to drum at all, but it's jazz so I'll be perfect.

If we form a folk group we won't need a drummer and Bill can sing.

Do we have to give him absinthe first?

Bill, it doesn't have to be jazz. A jazz bass is just a little easier to play. The layout is the same as any four string electric bass.

But, hey, if you can scat!

When I bought the guitar, I told my wife my plan was:
Buy guitar
Get good
Start a band
Make a CD
Get famous
Make money
Die of a drug overdose

Isn't that the normal course of things?

You forgot

Live large
Squander all the money
Declare bankruptcy
Become homeless

This goes right after Make money and before Die of drug overdose

I have been retired for 8 years and love it. After 3 months I was going crazy so I started my detailing business which has done very well. I pick and choose the schedule so when family events or 2 months in Florida arrive I put detailing aside. I also bike seriously and had a good year last year. I paddle board, fish and drive my Jeep on the beach. I don't know how I can squeeze it all in. Life is Good.

Wow. That would make you seventy-four. You post much younger.
