Getting on a jet plane in 5 days.

 

That's a thought, to meet you guys at the ferry. I think we may stop at that diner where you are having lunch on Sat, since we are not doing the drive. It's about 20 miles north of Cape May. Then go to the winery with Zippy Ken. A plan at this point. If we are back in time, we'll be at the dock, too.

I will also probably do the Cape May Winery Friday afternoon. I have been told that Turdo makes good wine but is very small. Cape May Winery is a bit bigger and probably within a few miles.

 

As I have been through a rather stressful few months at work since November. I am really looking forward to SF09 and going to a place that neither of us have been before (Cape May or Lewes, DE). I am looking forward to seeing everyone and just having a good time with friends. Thank you for making this possible. Ken gets double HUGS.

 

We're gonna stay at daughter's house in Frederick, MD Thurs night, and then leave Fri morning for a 3 1/2 -4 hour trip.

 

I'm all packed and ready to go. Leave early in the morning (Tues). Going to try to hook up with Raymo in GA on the way and do the Dragon. See you guys on Friday in NJ! Maybe I'll even rate a <single> unearned hug from Matt!

You know, I'm sitting here thinking (since the bit has been chomped off). I always knew these meets were great shots in the arm for me but not until I started packing last night for this meet did I realize just how much I actually NEED and look forward to our little gatherings, wherever they are. Just the thought and preparations and cutting up with old (and new) friends beforehand are like L-dopa for me. Said all that to say that if I seem a little sillier and crazier than usual this time, look over me just this one last time, okay? I'll straighten up in the future, I promise.
