FINALLY!!!!! +1 and I are firming up our great escape plan. We will be visiting this place: Sea Turtle Hospital

We'll be making our way down the coast of North Carolina to Topsail Island for some r & r. It would appear we'll be leaving probably on April 30 and return sometime during the second week of May. WOOOOOHOOO. We are taking a minimum of luggage and transportation will be via S2k. I plan to spend as much time as possible watching the sea turtles.
Too bad you and Jim aren't leaving a week sooner. We're only an hour and a half away from there now. We could meet up.

I'd love to see you guys!! Guess now I'll have to wait and hope that we can make the Rt. 26 meet if Vintage makes the run later this year. We're thinking about heading to Myrtle sometime in late May or early June, but +1s schedule makes it tough to plan.

I need to get to the beach before long, too, Val!!

What's everyone up to this weekend? I tried to bump up the weekend thread, but search not working this morning for me.

Anywho, went to see the cherry blossoms last weekend and riding in guy friend Vito's new BMW 330Ci. Very nice car - he got similar to a Sebring color with grey interior. Ragtop...This weekend it's out to dinner tonight, museums (National Gallery East Gallery for an exhibit on Toulouse Lautrec and the artists of Montmartre, and Natural History for one on pearls) tomorrow, and browsing a cool bookstore downtown and brunch on Sun. Of course, some top-down driving in there somewhere.

TGIF!!

Ms. P - I've been to the Pearl Exhibit (or one like it)....it's very inspirational. I now have 2 pearl necklaces (well, they're the freshwater kind with some color, but still... ).

I'm flying down to San Antonio tonight. My +1 drove down last night for a seminar and I'll ride back with him (in the truck, alas...I'd have let him take the S, but he had to deliver a bonnet...that's hood to you non-Brits....and we just couldn't figure out how to fit it into the S). A couple of his co-workers are also flying in this p.m. for the Sat/Sun portion of the seminar, so we wives will be hitting the Riverwalk for some shopping and dining and sightseeing. We have a friend (the one who's getting the bonnet) who is 75 years young, and he told me we're going for sushi (eeeyyyeeewwwww....but I can do veggies) and to bring my dancing shoes. My husband, by the way, was sitting there with him, already on their 4th Margaritas....each....
