Question

I was watching the Speed Channel this evening, and I saw a commercial for this:

Counter Counterfeit Commission

It has to do with counterfeit Mini Coopers being produced in the third-world and sold to unsuspecting consumers, and how to protect yourself from being taken advantage of by these hustlers. Some of these counterfeit Mini Coopers can barely be told apart from the originals!!!

I don't mean to change the subject here..... but after all it's 'shoot the breeze' right? So, I thought I'd share with whomever wanted to read this - 3 years ago today I purchased my S!!! Luckily it was almost 70 degrees here today so I could take her out for a 'birthday' drive........ gotta take advantage of that kind of weather this time of year. So here we are - 18,000 miles later, 3 trips to the Dragon, 2 Fall Colors, 1 Spring Fling, and a trip to the Biltmore Estate (and a Partridge in a Pear tree)...... (it was starting to sound like a song there for a minute).

Thanks to my successful business and the fact I had a mid-life crisis at 40 I have met lots of super nice people in this club. I didn't realize that turning 40 would mean I was Vintage........ but I can't say it's been all bad!!

And believe it or not guys........ I'm still running my original S02's!!!

Happy Birthday to the klassyblue car! And you just passed your 3 years on S2ki too! Andy and I would never have met you if it wasn't for the S2000. Only 18,000 miles? And the original tires? You won't be wearing klassy out anytime soon.

The "real" story of creation

In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth and populated the Earth with broccoli, cauliflower and spinach, green and yellow and red vegetables of all kinds, so Man and Woman would live long and healthy lives.

Then using God's great gifts, Satan created Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream and Krispy Creme Donuts. And Satan said, "You want chocolate with that?" And Man said, "Yes!" and Woman said, "and as long as you're at it, add some sprinkles." And they gained 10 pounds. And Satan smiled. And God created the healthful yogurt that Woman might keep the figure
that Man found so fair. And Satan brought forth white flour from the wheat, and sugar from the cane and combined them. And Woman went from size 6 to size 14.

So God said, "Try my fresh green salad." And Satan presented Thousand-Island Dressing, buttery croutons and garlic toast on the side. And Man and Woman unfastened their belts following the repast.

God then said, "I have sent you heart healthy vegetables and olive oil in which to cook them." And Satan brought forth deep fried fish and chicken-fried steak so big it needed its own platter. And Man gained more weight and his cholesterol went through the roof.

God then created a light, fluffy white cake, named it "Angel Food Cake," and said,

This has been going on far too long. The doc can't make up his mind what to do for it, and it just keeps rolling along.

I'm hoping the current antibiotic will work, I did some googling on it and it seems pretty strong and comprehensive.
Any luck with the new medicine, Tom?

Has anyone gone to see the movie Sideways? I saw it this week and thought it was pretty good. I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

Hey tomcatt, did your doctor take blood for analysis? Labs to consider based on your symptoms: CBC with diff, CMP including Liver Profile, SED rate, MONO spot test, PPD for TB, ANA, and a Thyroid Panel would be good for starters. If so, I wonder what the lab values reflect.

Your symptoms are vague in that it could be many causes. The above lab tests would enable a better picture of the puzzle.

Also, what antibiotics have you taken?

I saw it on the plane on the way to Australia. I thought it was pretty good, but I need to see it again to catch the dialog that was lost in the roar of the engines (we were way in the back of the plane where the engine noise is loudest).
