Don't hit your brakes to slow down, just let up a little on the gas and let the car stabilize. Next time you go around that curve, you'll remember where your limits are (if you can remember where the curve is in the course......it took me a while to learn a road course - I don't do it very often).
The other side of the coin is understeer,
The other side of the coin is understeer,
The best definition that I have ever heard about the difference between oversteer and understeer was from NASCAR legend Fireball Roberts. When asked by a reporter what the difference was? He responded: Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of the car.

Next thing you know, I will be enrolled in a driving school somewhere. (sigh)
I believe strongly that any one that can afford it should go to a driving school like the Skip Barber School. It is $1200 that is well spent! As it could save your life! I am referring to the Driving School not the Racing School.
At FCT04 remember to ask Barbara about how that refresher saved us back on a Saturday night in February.

^ Good to hear, Val!! I'm starting to get enthusiastic now about Fall Colors. Doing the drive last weekend fired me up, and arranging the Mid-A caravan.

I hear folks are going to be waiting for your famous cannonball too. (I must choose my words more carefully these days with this sick crowd)
