Yes, I'm sure the same goes for other allied countries such as Australia yet the Vietnamese seem... well... so forgiving. I'll post some pics later of some of the places I visited... the Reunification palace (including the underground command bunkers), the War Relics Museum in Saigon, Cu Chi tunnels etc. It's interesting to see historical accounts of the war from a communist perspective as well as from the western perspective we so often see.

That's the closest I'll get to politics on this subject.
