What a crappy end to such a nice day.
It was sunny most of the day here, with storms north of us. About 6:30 the whole family headed to the Dairy Queen for dessert after our cookout. We decided to take the S, first time this weekend. On the way it clouded up real fast, and started to rain.
I no sooner got the top up when it got real windy, with heavy rain, and it started to hail. We couldn't see the road so all I could do was pull onto the median and stop, there was no place to get the car under cover. All we could do was sit there, I was so sick, watching and listening to the hail bouncing off the car; Hilly and I thought it was going to puncture the top. It was about the size of a regular marble, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch or so.
It lasted about 5 minutes, maybe ten. When we got to the DQ I couldn't see if there was any damage, the car was still wet. The top was ok though, no damage there.
When we got home the car had dried off, so when I put it in the garage I had the overhead flourescent light on. There are several dings in the hood, but I couldn't see any others, though I'm sure there are more.
Hopefully the paintless dent removal will be able to fix it; I know my insurance does good at covering this sort of thing.

Today is a day of truth. Will 750cc injectors and the new fuel pump get usin to the 10's in the quarter mile? Did ripping everything out from under the dash really help? How much will we have to change our launch controller? Will the axles snap? If we put smaller tires and lighter wheels in the back what will happen? And finally will April's new boob job be a distraction in the pits?
