Oh? Well granny can talk about her grits all she wants but I thought about taking a picture of the produce section of a local market. Show what produce really is. When I was in Baltimore in 1982 for three weeks, I kept trying to get a green, lettuce type salad. I never did. I think that the greens we take for granted here don't exist back there. The one time I ordered a salad with high hopes, it was a mayonaisse mix with crab and no green in sight.

I've seen your produce and I must admit, it's nice year around but our local produce"in season" is something else too. Now, about those grits, they're an acquired taste but can be quite good and filling when prepared just right. Carmen couldn't find anything else to compare them to (new experience) except cream of wheat but they're just ground corn that we flavor to perfection. Too bad we're not cooking that weekend. I'm on a quest to find out who makes the best crab cakes in Maryland so hopefully you can help me when you get here.
Hey Perk, I forgot what I was supposed to meet you over here for?

Mmmmm grits. I grits.
Remember My Cousin Vinney and the grits discussions in it? What a hoot, but so true.
So how do ya'll like your grits? Mine have a little sweet-cream butter on them, maybe a little dark brown sugar or molasses if I'm in the mood for having them sweet.
Yummm!!!
