... Oh, and Rob, please don't take all that business too seriously. We are nothing if not passionate here in Vintage, and it's no surprise that this election stuff ruffled some feathers.

There will be no lasting backlash from any of that.

In all seriousness, Deb, make sure you back up (to some sort of permanent storage) anything important (especially pictures!!) that you have on that thing. I can pretty much promise you that in a year or so, you'll go to turn that thing on and it'll stare back at you blankly.

I lost some pictures of friends from Fall Colors '03 last year because I had loaded the pix off my camera and not had a chance to back them up to our file server before the laptop gave up the ghost.

Just words of advice from someone who's been burned.
Thanks, Chaz...Something did happen to my laptop once while it was sitting idle for awhile. I had to reload software. Fortunately, I do have all my pics on CDs.

Well, MsP has one messed up My S2K page...as a matter of fact, I have the My S2K page of another member!!! Trying to resolve this problem with Erik, but so far no go. I can get to things in a roundabout way, but it is a pain in the you-know-what. Apparently a server crashed today. Is anyone else having problems?

Deb, I've got problems with MYS2K too. I log out, then come back a couple hours later and the old page loads and doesn't ask me to re-log in. If I go to PM's, it asks me to log in and then I get the new MYS2K page. Try that.

No, don't misunderstand. I don't mind that the thread was closed, it happens (actually I do mind, but it happens and sometimes it has to be done). What is bothering me is that I am starting to see a bit of nastiness creep into our discussions. I know that as Vintage grows in size we can expect a little of this to happen, but still, I am a bit troubled by it. There are a few members who seem to need to be reminded (or told) about what the point of Vintage is.

To be passionate in a discussion is one thing, to be nasty and insulting is a whole other thing. I'm hoping this will pass with the election.
