I have only one computer at home...a laptop because I don't want a big bunch of equipment cluttering up my condo. It works great because I sit in the living room with it on my lap and watch TV or look out at the gorgeous view. I have my IM and email buddies, and of course, my fun stuff on s2ki....well, mostly fun, anyway...

In all seriousness, Deb, make sure you back up (to some sort of permanent storage) anything important (especially pictures!!) that you have on that thing. I can pretty much promise you that in a year or so, you'll go to turn that thing on and it'll stare back at you blankly.

I lost some pictures of friends from Fall Colors '03 last year because I had loaded the pix off my camera and not had a chance to back them up to our file server before the laptop gave up the ghost.

Just words of advice from someone who's been burned.
