Hmmmm...adjust your tire pressure, huh? Be careful - you might end up with a flat!

note to self - check your own tire pressure!

Thanks ladies The oil change and spark plugs I learned to do in my 20's, but the Autocross stuff and tire/wheel, suspension, and towing a vehicle I didn't start until I turned 40 - and it isn't rocket science but most of us didn't grow up learning to do this stuff from our dads (I know I didn't! Dad's big thing on teaching me automotive maintenance was to show me how to check the oil and take a mason jar and fill up at the gas station with "recycled oil" for a nickel a jarful and add when necessary ). I have every confidence that after Fall Colors, you guys will be reporting to me on how long it takes you to change a tire, what camber and toe will give the most firmly planted feel for autocross yet not cause undue tire wear, and at what gap the S2000 spark plugs should be set.
I'm happy to read how smart you are about your car.

I'm willing to bet that you have to prove yourself to the guys who don't know you, quite often. There's a lady out here, Kathy, who is into track days, but not auto cross. She knows all about how to take car of her car for that, and the day I finally met her in person, after "talking to her" on the site for over a year, she was giving pointers to a newbie track guy about his hot brakes and fluids to change to. Her husband has a Boxster so they both play on the track together.

OK...I'm going to see George Will speak tonight downtown, as a guest of my investment adviser. Let's see who the George Will fans are out here. I'm kinda hoping he'll discuss baseball in DC as well as politics.

I shouldn't be getting all excited BUT, I just talked to Matt Piercy at Honda World and a Suzuka Blue is in Orange County. He's going to try to trade a Silver one for it so I may or may not get it but, I'm excited.

I am substitute teaching high school math (my son's teacher's classes) on Wednesday and Thursday so I won't be checking in as much. Should be fun.

TC, make all the trouble you want, sugar. Your enthusiasm is contagious, you're getting everybody fired up now. As the kids would say, "You're off the chain." I love it. And what's this about a cannonball? Oh Lordy!

Good luck Patty. Can't wait to cut up with you again. If I remember correctly, you can hang.

Patty, I look forward to hearing about your Suzuka. My dealer originally traded a Spa for mine back in spring of '02. Blues were kinda hard to get then (I still waited 2 months).

[CaroleKing]Anticipation, it's making me wait...[/CaroleKing] (or is that Carly Simon??)

Oh Miss Jooooooosey, I see absolutely no reason why you can't just fly up for FC04. I'm sure we can find you a seat somewhere. If I wasn't bringing my sister-in-law, you could ride with me. Now wouldn't that be something. I saw where someone was driving up from Texas. It has been done before too. Oh well, just wishful thinking (or mad musings of a lil' ol' lady).
