zapping/crackling noise at 3000rpm ?

Nope, all stock. Never touched. Changed my rear brakes in January but that's about it.

Maybe best to try and get the car up on a hoist. Do thorough inspection.

Changed my front brakes and rotors over Labor Day weekend. Had my car on a lift. Banged and shook things around to see it anything was loose or broken. Everything seemed normal to me.

Picture on top of this page shows what Billman suggested to check and it was also fine.

The noise occurs at 3000 RPM even if I'm not driving which makes me believe it's not a loose part or a driving issue.

Planning to change my oil in about 100 miles so I'll put it on a lift again some time in October most likely. I guess I'll double check but I don't even know what to look for at this point.

All I know is that the noise occurs regardless of speed or gear. Parked on neutral, clutch in or out. Whenever I hit 3000 RPM it happens all the time
