Default zapping/crackling noise at 3000rpm ?

Coming from the back. At any gear, in between shifts, accelerating and decelerating. Always at 3000-3500 rpm

Any idea ?

probably sounds worse in person. if you need me to make any more videos replicating the noise let me know.

thanks.

Subscribed.

Mine has the same issue after I gutted my back half and installed a hard dog roll bar + harness bar. I've yet to track it down and its very annoying.

I don't have the stock bulkhead or spare tire so you don't need to worry about those items. What mods do you have on the rear half of the car?

Only mod is a T1R exhaust which I installed around November 2015. And I didn't drive the car from January til July. So I'm not sure when this noise began. But i know it's there now.

Center is gutted because I'm in the process of replacing my passenger seatbelt (the whole assembly).

Would like to note that the zapping is consistent after car warms up and driven for at least 10 minutes. Anything before that it doesn't make noise. Only a little at lower rpm but not consistent

I experience the same issue on both of my cars which have the rear tray removed. Haven't figured out what it is.
