Your opinion on my spun bearing/scored wall?

Most piston's oil ring lands have holes in them to along oil to pass through to the oil rings (see slots on oil rings in photo). Whether the oil is simply splashed up into the underside of the pistons or pressure squirted. I'd imagine if the oil squirt spout fails at high RPM's or under high heat --- this maybe enough to cause catastrophic failure. Combination of loss of oil flow and oil pressure.

Even if it did, the amount of engine time from bearing having excessive clearance to spun bearing is very short. It doesn't seem like there is enough time for a little more side pressure on the rod to cause such excessive cylinder scoring in that brief timespan.

that's what I'm thinking too which leads me to believe the scored cylinder was the first problem.
