im sorry excuse my ignorance but does that make the housing stronger somehow?
How much does it cost?

Theoretically, cryogenic treating will make the diff housing and gears stronger. I have not had a failure since (knock on wood). Docofmind did mine for me - PM him for pricing.

Wesmaster also has cryoed everything he owns... I think he even did a pair of his underoos to see how they would come out. Mine was completely stock.

Is there anything else that you can buy (replacement parts) to make the rearend stronger? It seems that just about everything in it is weak!

As far as I know, you can get an "upgraded" housing (cryo treated?) from Comptech, cryo treated ring & pinion, upgraded bearing caps, and a stronger differential. I haven't heard of anyone blowing this combination up.
