Yet another clutch buzz question
I've had the clutch buzz for a while, but because I tend to drive it solo with the top down on weekends, I didn't realize how loud it was until a friend visited and we used the S as our primary transportation for a week. The buzz on deceleration is very loud.
I know there is a TSB, and some dealers will replace the clutch without too much prodding, but my question is; is it worth it? Will the problem be cured, or is it just going to come back in 15k miles?
Because if it isn't going to cure the problem, I'd rather not have a dealer take my car apart.
FYI - it's a 2k with 20k miles.
Thanks!

i think it depends on the car... i tried to go to 5 bay area honda dealerships to get it done, they all turned me down because they said they don't replace the clutch because of that anymore... they said its normal, and if they replace it, the buzz comes back anyway...
sucks.
which is why im trying to find an aftermarket clutch hoping that will rid me of that rattle... i hate it.

The buzz came back (as bad as ever, might even be slightly worse) 2,000 miles after performing the TSB on my 2001. I guess I got a new clutch at 15,000 miles, but would not go thru this again.

I believe there was an update to the update... meaning there was a *newer* disc with a different part # to replace the earlier ones... the newer part # is 22200-PCX-055, or short# 685512, which coincidentally, is the same as the 04's. So, if you early guys had them replaced and still have the same noise, check the part #. And so far, mine's been quiet....

Thanks for your input. I really appreciate it! But I'm still right in the middle. Some say it's temp, others suggest that there might be a fix. Hopefully more people will weigh in on the subject. Because it's just an annoyance, I can take my time to decide what to do.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
