Yellow Box Installed=Check Engine Light??
#83
OK, some recent experience with a Yellow Box install on a 2004 S.
IF you follow the install instructions here:

NOT Xviper's -- it's the post from GaryRudolph that includes the Helms diagrams.
The install will work perfectly and you can tie wrap the yellow box as I did under the dash for easy access:
Here's the gotcha.
If you look at C101 as it is mounted behind the kick panel, DO NOT wire the Yellow Box on the RIGHT SIDE of C101. You will get a CEL (Speedometer Malfunction), the speedomter will always show 0 and at least in the 04 the fuel gauge goes up and down with the speed of the car!
Now there's a feature
If you wire into the blue/white wire coming just out of the LEFT SIDE of C101 it's all good and instead of having to run wires everywhere, get under the car have the Yellow Box exposed to the elements, etc. you can have it mounted right under the dash out of the way and still have easy access.
I was off 14% by the way.
