I see you have an AP2, do you still have your CDV installed? That would almost certainly be why you had some trouble with the clutch glazing over when doing burnouts. I've had days at the track where I've done 10+ burnouts without any effect on the clutch, but my CDV was removed, so there was no initial slipping to start with.
oh yeah... forgot about that CDV... check that thing out!! (Clutch delay valve)... basically clutch skimming hell lol

The AP1s have a pretty weak pressure plate, so there's excessive slippage on engagement even with plenty of life left in the clutch. I know mine does, I'm planning to replace it with an ACT pressure plate if/when I ever wear out the original friction disc. Or get too fed up with it...

this is a little off topic, but my clutch grabs at the very top (about an inch left in pedal travel). Does this mean that I'm getting near the end of my clutch or would a bleed help remedy the issue?

sorry to thread jack OP

I've gone through a clutch and would say that slipping is a better indication of clutch wear than where your clutch engages. After I had my new clutch put in the engagement point was ridiculously close to the floor to the point I had to drive barefoot because it was so sensitive and prone to stalling. A clutch bleed fixed it and the engagement point is now in the middle on a brand new clutch.

I would highly recommend doing a clutch bleed. There's an excellent howto on the "other" site. It's cheap too, you need about 300ml of DOT 4 fluid.

Its not the CDV, its the weak pressure plate. I think Honda has a weak pp on all S2ks, and the AP2 with the heavier flywheel just can't cope.

You're gonna need a new clutch buddy. When you do get it, take it easy on it. By the way if you're not too experience with tools and mechanics, you're gonna suffer a bit, but that's how you learn..

... by the way, don't be a cheap ass like my brother who bought a << $300 clutch, they're cheap for a reason.

So, I gotta let the clutch bleed?

My clutch grabs too high for comfort for me. I wish it would grab around the middle.

I'm lookin' for the DIY, could you post it for me anyway tho?

Thanks
