Xenon Bulb Survey
My passenger side xenon bulb flickers 3 times before going out. From searching the forums, I hear 3 different scenarios that would cause this:
1. After the bulb going out, just turn off then turn on again, and it works.
2. The bulb is bad.
3. Problem with the ballast.
For those of you who had this problem, I would appreciate it greatly if you let me know of your outcome. Thanks.

it depends on how old the ballast is.....and i doubt that's it anyway.....xenons are cheap bulbs....and they aren't bright enough to burn out the ballast on any 2000+ car.....if i were u....i'd get new bulbs....such as PIAA's....

He is not talking about the cheap bulbs. You cannot use those with the HID ballasts.
It could be a connection problem with your bulb. Is it in the housing safely? No movement?
You can always take it to the dealer.

Can someone confirm how many car manufacturers use PIAA HID bulbs?
My guess is... ZERO. Do they even have the technology?
Can someone confirm how many car manufacturers including the Porsches, Hondas, BMWs, and Audis of this world use Phillips/Sylvania-OSRAM HID bulbs?
My guess is... an overwhelming majority.
The biggest reason why you should not go any higher than your very common and very effective 4300K (4100K for Xenarc) is that the blue will fatigue your eyes which hinders driver concentration on the road ahead.

yo jesangc... you should check out the color of bulb before you buy, dont go and waste 200-300 dollars on shit bulbs.... i have 8000k...(which gives a aqua crystal blue hue color)....and some guy on this forum has philips 6000k (which i think gives a very light purple bright white color).
IMO 8000k is just show(looks really nice if i drive behind you, but thats about it), but the 6000 is bright, even brighter than stock..... dont get me worng, just because they are bright does not mean youll have better visibility....stock bulbs will provide the best visibility....
you can check out my the 8000 and 6000 k anytime...im sure the guy with 6000 will meet up also.... if you still want to buy stock bulbs, make me an offer...but i will only sell both. besides mine were barely used.....
