I would but what I don't get is why if I turn my lights completely off does it flash my HID's instead of my highs....
When you HIDs are ON and you flash the "brights", since the HIDs are on already, you won't notice any difference if your hi-beams aren't working. With your HIDs OFF and you flash your brights, ALL your lights come on, BUT, since your hi-beams aren't working, you only see your HIDs.

Don't be so quick to toss out the notion that BOTH your hi-beam bulbs have gone bad. This has happened more times than you can imagine. The only way to know for sure is to try a new bulb. Might be time to go with Xenon type hi-beam bulbs for that whitish/blue look to match the HIDs. If you want to test this idea, get a cheap H1 bulb and put one in and try it.

Yes, would that have done anything?
Not likely. Your tail-lights are on a different circuit. Your HIDs and hi-beams run off the same fuse. If the HIDs work, then the hi's should also be energized.

So if any s2000 has all its lights off and flashes their brights the HID's and high beams come on??? I thought that was bad for them? I'll buy new bulbs tomorrow and try that out.

He got hit in the front left fender and was thinking that if the wires ran through there it could have pinched them and caused a short. But this can be ruled out easy, check the fuse!

There are was to check the bulbs without having to just go buy some. Look at the filament and tap the glass on it, if they are good then it shouldnt wiggle much. If they are bad the filament will be broken.

Mistaken identity. I thought he was hit in the back end.
In any case, the HID fuse is the same one for the hi-beam. If one works, the other "should" work.

Not necessarily. I have taken out headlight bulbs that didn't work and they looked perfectly intact. He can always take one out and check it for continuity.

I'll just go to the store and buy some nice ones, and if that doesn't work I'll return them with the recipt and get my money back... Yes, they allow it because I did it in my last car
