F22 with ap1 ecu and tranny. All stock. Recently messed with negative cable battery terminal.

1) Battery terminal cleaner (also known as a terminal brush)
2) Battery felts (asset will consist of 1 red for positive and 1 black for negative- will prevent future corrosion)
--these go between the battery post and the terminal connector and will completely prevent corrosion
3) A replacement negative battery terminal (get the gold plated one for a few dollars more)-Part number 01410 from Super Start is a good one
When you install the new terminal (very easy) make sure to inspect the exposed wire you installing the new wire for corrosion. It must be bright and shiny. Sand it with paper if needed but it ispreffered to shorten the wire back to get "clean" copper wire. My belief is when you snipped and removed the corroded area you reinserted wire which was still oxidized. This wire is only marginally conductive and might even arc between strands (read intermittent gremlins).
Good luck,
Utah
