is the timing set correctly on it? have you verified it with a timing gun?

It is no problem with the keys, tough i use the same ECM as before

Could it be that i need to use the UK ECM? i havent tried this yet because i need to reprogram the keys.

Now im using US ECM or should that mather at all?

When the engine started it ran on all 4 cylinders, so the sparks are there
yes i tried with the throttle plate open

Im going to leave the car to a Honda dealer tomorow for programm the keys

the engine worked fine when they removed it from the smashed car

Hi Simon,

I don't think the keys are the problem. Because you use the original (US) ECU with the original keys, this should take care of the immobilizer system by itself. I doubt the ECU 'knows' that there is a different engine installed in the vehicle.

Since it is a used engine the timing should be OK, so I'd focus on something else.

Did you reconnect everything properly? No small tubes mixed up? Did you make sure the ground cable is connected from the engine to the chassis (provided that there is one on our engines, honestly I don't know) for some reason this sticks in my mind as being a 'problem point'. All other connectors re-attached (MAP sensor, throttle position sensor, crank sensor etc. etc.)

It should just run fine!!!

Keep us posted and good luck!

The reason why i gonne get the keys programmed is that i will try a different ECM

I got it to start one more time, and i got an blinking CEL

I post the problem when i find it

The engine was from a crashed car, so there might be possible that the wire harness is damage...

a blinking CEL is not good, it means serious engine damage could or is occuring. pull the code with an OBD-2 scanner. what code do you get?
