Default Would an 07 S2K clutch kit & Fly fit in a 01 S2K?

Would it fit??? Before we buy the parts has anyone tried fitting a S2K 07 clutch and flywheel onto a pre 2002 S2K?? if so let me know if its a direct fit as 07 clutches are much better...

Cheers

07 clutches are not "much better". I think they suck as do most AP2 owners.

It will bolt up, but I would not use the heavy AP2 flywheel. Keep the AP1.

The heavy flywheel is used to keep the car in VTEC between shifts, now that the powerband has been shortened to 6-8k. That's IT. It has nothing to do with torque or anything else.

The ap2 flywheel weighs more than the ap1 flywheel. Most people want to go with a lighter flywheel for performance. Stay with the ap1 flywheel or buy something even lighter.

What? You don't like AP2 owners?

Neither "put out more power" as a clutch or pressure plate don't make power, but the AP2 plate being heavier will give a smoother take off and keep the revs from falling quite as fast as the lighter flywheel at the expense of reving slower and feeling like you've got 20 inch rims on the car.

As others have mentioned, if you want to rev quicker get a lighter flywheel.
