Won't start - No spark after AP2 retainer install

You cannot replace one or two cam covers. They have to be replaced as a matched set. Look here in the WTB forums. That's your best bet.

Number one cause is cam timing.
He tested for spark and VOILA! We have spark! Billman is right it was timing all along.
He didn't want to try to start the car as there is a crack on two cam covers. So issue is solved and the car should be able to start.
He said he will replace the two cam covers from a rebuilt s2000 motor he knows of and it should not be an issue. He said he can not order the cam covers individually as Honda won't sell them individually and you have to buy a complete head.
I'm happy that we at least know the car starts now.

Actually, car is still down due to mechanics incompetence. Now he wants to replace incompatible cam caps. More incompetence...

After doing a little research and from what you guys are saying, the cam caps can not be interchanged. I believe he is getting an damaged F20c (bent valves?). Will swapping the entire cam caps from the damaged motor work (assuming these cam caps are fine)?
Thanks for all the replies. They have all been tremendously helpful.

You need the rocker assembly as well? So the caps and the assembly are line bored together?

I just wondered because I saw 10 and I'm like, there's only 5 cam caps.
