Wont Rev Past 6.5k RPM CEL P0336
Hey guys, I recently picked up an 02 S2000. Apparently, previous owner swapped in 09 f22 using ap1 intake manifold, stock ecu. Has test pipe, and air pump delete right now. Has 3 cel, 1 is for the cat, 1 is for the air pump, the other is P0336 (crankshaft position sensor). I plan on picking up air pump delete sensor, as well as antifouler.
But Im having trouble figuring out what to do with the P0336. Car runs fine, but will not go past 6.5k rpm. Is the P0336 causing it not to past 6.5k rpm? From what I read, having a bad crank position sensor wont allow you to rev past 3k rpm. I test it out but unpluging the crank sensor, and it would not go past 3k rpm. So any ideas?

I believe he just used f20 intake manifold with the regular throttle cable. i was under the impression that a bad crank sensor wont allow it to rev past 3k rpm, but why its allowing to be to 6.5k rpm.

So, after a few diagnosis test, I found the problem. Connected the timing light, it was way out of timing. Opened up the valve cover, lined everything up, it hasnt jumped timing. Crank sensor was good. The crank pulse wheel was the problem. It still had the F22 crank wheel, changed that to F20 wheel, and everything is running good. Now all of a sudden, just got some random misfire code :/ lol
