will the s2000 temp guage work with aem ems?
Does anyone on this board successfully have the stock s2000 guage cluster temp guage working with the aem ems. I called aem twice today, at one point they were totally confident it would work and then later they said sorry you need to run a seperate temp guage.
Please advise.
Thanks

The AEM EMS will not allow the temp gauge on your cluster to work this is a common fault with this ECU, I just got a set of Defi BF's
For any other info mate I'd seriously look on www.aem-power.com there is a forum on the specificaly for S2000's with a few AEM factory engineers posting on there

That's not cool...........Glad I didn't change over from the E-manage to the AEM.

Does anybody understand the incompatibility between the EMS and the stock gauge? I posted a similar question on AEM's forum over a month ago and there's been no response.

I'm surprised none of our electronics experts have solved this problem yet.
Apparently the signal output by the ECU to the temp gauge is not a conventional standard and the AEM can't reproduce it. Surely it's just a matter of logging the signal and seeing what range and type it is (level or pulse) and then building some simple electronics to convert the sensors signal or the output of the AEM to drive it correctly.
Where's Modifry when we need him?
