Will a Jdm f20c work in my 02?
Hey I'm looking at a jdm f20c out of a 2000 ap1. Will I run into any problems putting it into my 2002 usdm ap1? I know the vtec solenoid, ecu, and engine harnesses are different, but I have all of that from my old motor that I blew. Everything will transfer over right?
Also, I'm in california, which means we only get to run on 91 octane around here. If my ecu works on the jdm engine, it will be fine right?
Anything else I'd need to consider? Thanks.

I would consider
Can you legally use a JDM engine in a usdm car in CA?
We have shitty fuel as opposed to Japans fuel so are you really going to see any gain by having the higher compression of a JDM engine?
Why not just buy a US engine?

I'm not looking to get any gains, it's just that there's one local from a good shop on sale. Regarding legal issues, would it pass smog? If yes then I don't see much of a problem. If there's anything I'm missing please do let me know.
