FYI, I used the Majestic price for a reference for you guys...I have first-hand experience with ordering blocks from Honda (tecnically, second-hand). JEH had to order 2 short blocks on my behalf, and we rebuilt the head once. You can order a short block, completely assembled, as shown in the diagram. You can order a head completely assembled, as in the diagram. You can also order complete long block assembly. From what I've heard, the long block is not just the short block and head together, it comes with many of the other items that are on the block/motor.

Although I paid a bit much, I got a used short block for 1000 even from someone on the board.
If you are going the complete motor rebuild route, golden eagle will do your short block (pistons, rods, sleeving, o-rings, and short block assembly) for around 3700. Then you'll need to have it fully assembled to your (race prepped of course ) head and dropped into your car for maybe 800-1000 more in labor.
Don't forget about upgrading your fuel system, probably injectors ($100-150 * 4 = $400-600) and (possibly additional?) fuel pump as well as figuring out what you are going to do about the fuel rail, either boring it out or tapping the other side. Estimate about $500 in labor for the fuel system.
Then of course you'll want to upgrade that VAFC to a PEMS and upgrade your ring & pinion. Oh, and don't forget a new clutch if you haven't already. May as well throw in the flywheel.
Etc.
