It will fit & work.
Top = MY'04
Bottom = MY'00
Notice the sec. O2 is in another spot.
Flanges, lenght, etc. is all the same.

bumping from the dead: i am putting a J's test pipe with the flanges for the OEM cat heatshield on my car. i got another set of the heatshields, but the hole for the O2 sensor on the test pipe and on the shield do not line up. the sensor hole on the pipe is like the top cat in the picture, and the hole in the heatshield is the same as the lower picture. i looked up the parts at the majestic honda site, and for both the 2000 model year as well as the 2009 model year, the upper and lower cover part numbers are the same. anyone got any ideas where i can get the upper cover for the cat that matches the lower cat in the picture? thanks!

I just used a dremel to widen the hole Some test pipe makers dont put the o2 bung at stock location since they dont anticipate people using the oem heat shields with them.
