I disconnected the battery, and spent the next hour or so taking the radiator, airbox, and a/c radiator thing out.

Then spent about 30-45 minutes pounding the radiator support

Then another 2-3 hours trying to get the stupid hood latch thing in the right position so it would securely grab the hood and lock into place.

I'm about to go to Advance and get some coolant, hook up the radiator hoses, fill her up, put the airbox & bumper back on, and I'm good to go

OK not to get off topic here but lets say the SRS light comes on and STAYS on then what? How do i retrieve the code if any?
I have aem ems not the stock ecu, would i still be able to retrieve any code if there is any?
The way i use to retrieve codes from my stock ecu was jumping pins #1 and #9 on that plug right side on my knee when sitting on the drivers side. Can i still do that to retrieve the SRS code?
Thanks for the help.

It is actually PINs #4 and #9. Those PIN #'s are incorrectly stated all over S2ki. Have you tried the jumper method since you swapped ECU to AEM? I doubt it would work. The SRS DTC's are cleared via MES connector somewhat independant of the other DTC's and system's.
Slows2k said before that there is some way to "hot-swap" an OEM ECU with an EMS in order to pull DTC. I have no idea how, would be interested in reading the procedure as well. I think he was talking about a normal CEL DTC when he mentioned it. Good Luck.

EDIT: Here is a link to an example of the jumper trick with the PIN's numbered correctly.

More OBD-II stuff (info only)
The OBD-II specification provides for a standarized hardware interface

You need 2 cars to hot swap the Honda HDS tester with a EMS car. 1 to get the OBDII interface working, once you have communication with the PCM you can switch modes for SRS, ABS, and EPS.

You start coms with the stock car, then go to the EMS car after the tester is satisfied you've got a working OBDII interface.

Put a little metal polish on a terry cloth, wiped them down and they came off pretty easily. It was just wood dust or something from sitting for years and years and years. Quickly washed it all off, then repeated a couple more times

This is why I was asking if the bags would deploy.
We used a couple of methods to straighten the support
