JPRICE!

Whats up guys, i noticed the other day when i was sitting in my car on my lunch break and noticed that my shift knob clunks whenever i shake it, like something is loose. then soon after i noticed a repeating clunk coming from the transmission every second when im sitting in the car in neutral with the clutch out. it got bad enough to where i could actually feel it when i was sitting there. I got it home and it wasnt doing it anymore but there was still some noise coming from the trans..just the normal buzz i guess but a little louder. also i noticed when i drive the transmission is putting off A LOT more heat than usual. even my shift knob is hot. any ideas what this could be??? input shaft bearing?
