Bigger Injectors

Do i also need some new FPR or can i use the stock one?

it depends on the size of the injectors.

You can run bigger injectors with the stock FMU (@43psi) or smaller injectors but using a FMU to raise the fuel pressure above of @43 psi

I recommned you to run bigger injectors and the stock FMU.

for 6 psi with the stock psi and 440cc you should be ok, any wayas I will send you by email a excel chart where you can calculate the appropiate injectors size

I have now a question regarding RC Injectors.

I want to buy RC 550cc High Impedance Injectors.

Does the RCEN SL55 Injectors fit on the Honda S2000?

Today i installed a B&M Fuel Pressure Gauge to check if my Comptech FMU or the Fuel Pump is defective.

The fuel pressure at idle is 40 psi and with removed vacuum line it is about 50 psi.

Those numbers seems to be normal, aren't they?

I don't have any SC or FMU experience, but those pressures look pretty stock.

EDIT: I'm guessing that the pressures should be close to stock at idle (no boost).

I just raised the Fuel Pressure at idle to 45 psi with the FMU and took a testdrive.

The car runs still to lean. Maybe my stock injectors are defective.

But 550cc injectors + E-Manage are on the way and hopefully help me to get my car to a safe A/F level.

Salaska,

You need to check the fuel pressure while the intake manifold is seeing boost. The fuel pressure should definetly be well above 50psi when you are on the road and have the gas pedal pressed to the floor and the RPMs above 6K. You should see the fuel pressure rise as the RPMs rise. I'm unsure what pressure the Comptech supplied fuel pump can reach but i believe its somewhere around 100psi. If your not seeing fuel pressures above 50psi under these conditions then there is something wrong.

The comptech FMU is designed/tuned to act just like the OEM FMU when the intake is not seeing boost. Unlike the OEM FMU, the Comptech FMU has the ability to increase fuel pressure above OEM levels when the pressure in the intake manifold rises above atmospheric. In order for it to do this it requires installation of the fuel pump supplied with the SC kit.

Yes, the 40psi - 50psi readings are close to the OEM reading you should see when tested as you did.

Do you have access to an OBDII scan tool? If so you should check out what your short term and long term fuel trim values are at. They will tell you wether the ECU thinks its running lean or rich and by how much it thinks it needs to compensate by in order to bring things back to normal.
