The entire assemblies are indeed hard to get if not possible at all. However, you can order the OEM shocks themselves and only replace those. Check with the shops for the labor and you supplying the parts. That way you won't have non-OEM struts and don't have to worry about springs matching up.

2 of the 4 OEM struts for an 03 s2000 are showing discontinued on the honda website I checked. Maybe OP can get lucky and find a place that has them in stock though.

I would have just grabbed a set of PSS or PSS9 by now, and went back to enjoying my life.

Yeah unless you are trying to do an all OEM build (my life is too short for that lol) then just grab the Bilstein's. People are happy with those and they are a quality part.

They're the closest-to-OEM aftermarket part, with some notable improvements over factory parts.

Bilstein PSS = Only height adjustment

Bilstein PSS9 = Height adjustment + shock adjustment. I recommend the PSS9. Set them how you want...and then forget that the adjusters exist.

You can reuse your existing tophats with a slight modification.

Running them at their tallest height will result in ~0.5" lower than stock, but the car will still be align-able within factory spec.

The shock tuning is arguably better than factory. And they'll be more comfortable than factory while also handling better.

They're zinc plated, so maybe not the best idea for use on salted roads. But should still hold up fine.

I think they come with a lifetime warranty?

They were available on rockauto in the "suspension kit" category. 5% rockauto coupon codes work.

Or buy from any of the other reputable vendors that sell them.

PSS are Bilstein shock and spring assemblies that are not adjustable (except for height). PSS9 are the same thing, but include a damping adjustment.

These are probably the closest thing to stock+ replacements out there. Intended for street, not track (though entirely capable of light duty track). The spring rates are similar to stock CR.

They have a lifetime guarantee.

These are perhaps the most popular replacement suspension for those just wanting something stock like in performance and comfort, but a bit of an upgrade at the same time.

They're cheaper than buying new stock shocks, plus you'll never have to buy suspension again, since lifetime guarantee.

They're also rebuildable or upgradable by anyone. Racers can do it trackside. They use the same internals as their race parts, so parts always available (but if keeping them unmodded, you won't care, as you'll just get new ones if they ever fail.

They are also the most robust suspension around.

Look into Ohlins as well. https://www.ohlins.com/product/road-...1999-2003-ap1/

I have them for 5+ years. Highly recommend.

At tire rack koni sport shock set (aka koni yellow) $720 with free shipping. Better than oem but mostly more refined - and adjustable.. Not a huge departure from stock ride unless you set them that way. These have built in perches. Earlier version I have transferred the original perches, but those are listed as close out. tirerack list scroll down to yellow
