I also use Mobile 1 10W30, why would a person use 5W30? I am not hip on the oils I just go with what I hear is the best and Mobile 1 hasn't done me wrong yet.

^ 5w-30 is a bit thinner than 10w-30. It may allow an engine to run a bit more efficiently in terms of fuel milage and power. It is not a recommended weight by Honda. I would not run it in high ambient temps.

By the way, if you do not want to go with synthetic, then Havoline GF4 is a very highly regarded dinosaur oil. I use Mobil 1 Sythetic 10W-30 myself. Every 5000 miles.

No offense.. but I think it might have been in your mind. Synthetic oil shouldn't change the way your car feels.. just takes longer to break down, and handles heat better. Maybe you needed to change the oil really bad before you switched. If you ever feel a difference when you do an oil change, it probably needed to be changed really bad
