Why are these TCTs so cheap? Anyone tried these?

Yeah, I'd say in the case of the chain tensioner... it's never good.

I grew up with preventive maintenance and, like Cosmo, changed out the OEM TCT for Billman's part at roughly 40K miles about 3 years ago. 10, maybe 15, minute job. No failures of Billman's part noted or even rumored to my knowledge. I don't even think about it. It just does its job.

Jason (?) of Engineering Explained has the Ballade TCT in his AP1 engine and I'm sure he'll note if he has any problems. He just supercharged this car and his videos are always educational.
