Hello Folks!
I've noticed that a lot of you are using a synthetic oil at your first oil change. Excuse by ignorance, but why the preference for synthetic? What are the benefits over standard oil?

My car was using oil, I changed to synthetic and have not had a problem since. I think some driving habbits play in determining what oil is best for you to use.

I replaced almost 3 quarts (mobile 1 syn) by 4300 miles and went to Castrol 5w30. The only synth. the dealer had when I had my service was amsoil. I dont know anything about amsoil and something about the word "soil" in the name of this stuff made me go with the Castrol. Im certain the engine feels stronger with the Mobil 1 synth. Next time Im taking my own Mobile 1 products to the dealer.
