Default Why is my car still having problems idling correctly?

I have a daily '01 with just over 70k miles. I started having idling issues a while back so I started doing my research on here.

I have now replaced my IACV, catalytic converter (I had that strange rattling sound), both O2 sensors (at the fault of the loose honeycomb in my cat) and the air filter. The CEL has not been on since replacing the O2 sensors. While this helped some issues, idling was not fixed. I have also tried the idle relearn procedure as well a couple of times.

It still has a hard time idling around 800 however. Especially when stopping, the revs will drop so low that it stalls sometimes. It has a hard time getting off the line at times as well and will act like it is bogging down. Around 3000-4000 RPM after getting it moving, it will sometimes "sputter" under normal acceleration, bogging a bit, and then it will finally accelerate normally once you get past that. It will properly accelerate all the way to 9000 at times as well.

What could the problem be? I'm not sure what to try next so I had to make a new post. I've tried researching all I could. Any input would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks, guys.

Have you checked compression and leakdown?

Try resetting the ECU, and let it idle for a good 5 minutes without A/C, fan speed off, radio off.

Check ur plugs, sounds like a rich condition maybe valve lash is really bad to.
Dirty injectors.
O2 sensor might not be a good enough replacement.

If the plugs are really black sooty that's what to look for. Does ur bumper get sooty easily?

I tried this a few times; doesn't seem to have any effect on the idle.

Forgot to add this. I changed my spark plugs as well a while back.

Pull the spark plugs and see how they look like. Good reflection of the engine's air/fuel mixture. I'd also check compression.

BTW.. how old is the timing chain tensioner? When I replaced mine, it helped smoothen out the idle.

Another culprit can be throttle position sensor calibration if that is something that you touched recently.
