Why do I have "a cricket chirp" in my Injen CAI???

Hello there. I'm new on this post but not to the forum.
I used to have a del Sol and with it I installed an AEM cold-air intake kit. This chirping sound was very noticeable but I liked it.
I believe the sound you are talking about is coming from the so-called air horn that is attached at the base of where the filter and intake piping mate together.
Don' t know if you've tried this yet, but run your car in a parked spot, open your hood, and have someone else blip the throttle for you (in neutral, don't want any casualties here) .
Focus on where the sound would be coming from and I'm almost certain it'll be eminating from where the filter and piping meet.
I hope this helps ya. And believe me, unless something else has been modified to your engine, then chances are its just that and its nothing to worry about.

I thought I'd post back here again. Seems that during an investigation into an on-going "bucking" fuel/electrical kick out that I've ben experiencing with The Bruised Banana in heavy-G turns, I was able (with my local Honda Service Tech analyzing with his computer link up) that I had a defective throttle body assembly. With replacement, not only did my "bucking" hesitation go away...but so did my Cricket!!!
Just thought I'd pass this info on. Apparently the chirp was originating in my throttle body assembly .
