Why do I have "a cricket chirp" in my Injen CAI???

Maybe the intake pipe is vibrating against the front swaybar? I had to put some sticky-foam between the two.

Dave, I have a 4IGS CAI and I do not have the noise that you are describing. I do have a quiet little noise when I just give it a little gas from an idle. It does sound like a chirp, but it is very soft and only happens with a slight application of the gas pedal. I don't think that this is what you are describing, however. I have a chirp too on my cheapie intake. I only notice it once in a while as its something I have gotten used to. I dont really care either way. the deep sound is great.

I have the comptech intake, spoon tb, and Js hood and it is very noticable, mine is louder than all of you! its just the air going through the intake, try closing your best friend under the hood and see what he comes up with while you are driving down the road

Basically, its at least confirming that I'm probably not starving my engine for air (which was a concern).
