... the brake system in the S2000?
I quickly looked in the Helm manual but must have missed it in my haste. I need to know the fluid capacity of the entire system.
Anyone? Thanks!

Sorry, actually had to work at work today.
I've not done a brake bleed yet so can't say for sure. But I have read another poster the last couple of months to say that he did the whole bleed with 1 qt.
gernby must have read it from another owner.
If you could wait another couple of weeks, I will have had it done.

Also, "cdelena" has changed his fluid quite a bit. He'll also know for sure.

Outstanding! I suspected 36 ounces might be plenty, and there are 32 in a quart. I bought six 12 oz. bottles to get me through the year.
I have to have the complete system flushed as I'm swapping out the OEM fluid and going over to Stainless Steel Brakes Brake Fluid, the same incredible stuff I have used all these years on the CRX-Si. As I will be running the Hawk Blues I clearly need the upgrade.
Thanks all!

That will be plenty. I did a flush of the brake system last weekend (along with oil, transmission, and differential) and drained it into a one liter water bottle. I changed from the OEM fluid to ATE Super Blue and once the fluid turned blue I did three extra pumps for good measure. When I was done the water bottle was less than 2/3rds full.

I have read that people have done it with just 1 liter, but those people had perfected the process, and probably were not replacing brake lines. When replacing brake lines, you are going to pump more fluid through the system to make sure all the air is out. Also, if you make any mistakes (accidentally suck air in through the master cylinder, etc.), you really need to have some extra fluid, especially if your fluid can't be bought at the corner auto parts store.

I replaced brake lines (earls), calipers (Rick's powder coated), bleeders (speed bleeders) and fluid (Ate Super Blue) a while back. 1 liter was more than enough. Still had enough left over to do a many bleeds.
I've also helped quite a few folks just swap out fluid. 1 liter can easily do two cars.
