White smoke from radiator (fans area)
Hi guys,
Over the weekend, i changed the coolant by myself and on Monday, I noticed that there was white smoke coming from the radiator area where the two fans are located. I was wondering if this is from the coolant that were spilled out during my coolant change.
The car drives fine at normal operating temperature at 3 bars and the coolant reservoir remains at the same level. I only noticed the white smoke when I got home after driving the S for 40 minutes (total miles driven after the change were 120 miles or so).
I do not recall seeing this before the coolant change. I do not see any leaks yet (knock on wood) on my drive way. I am pretty sure its not coming by the engine and seems like evaporating from the radiator.
Thanks for the help.

That would be strange to drive that far and not burn off all the coolant that you spilled. I would expect that you do have a small leak. To make sure you could always hose down the radiator area to get rid of anything else, then drive again. If you see the white smoke you have a leak.

Hi Plokivos,
Thanks for the comment,
I just checked that there is no puddle on the floor when I left the car overnight in the garage.
I really hope it is just the left over not all burnt off. I did spill quite a bit during the air burping processing while trying to get all the air out of the system.
Thanks guys.

I would check the hoses before I check the leaks. Seem to be that there is a small coolant hose in front of the engine (near to the right of the cams that tend to leak).
make sure the radiator cap is tight and other than that, other white smoke I know is from turbo gasket leaking and we don't come with turbo.
