Why change a Torque Sensing diff for a fixed clutch type?

oh yea forgot to say that i would throw in some gears while im at it, but if the housing goes then well i just have to find a new one...

as for the "why a clutch type?" question i feel that an adjustable clutch type could be fun to have rather than a fixed torsen.

Potential problem with factory LSDs (whether Torsen or clutch-type) is that they can be not aggressive enough. Most factory LSDs run no preload and relatively low max lockup. Preload is good for smoother lockup. IOW, it's not the change from Torsen to clutch-type that improves performance. It's the aggressive nature of aftermarket LSD that helps.

Unless you run a custom rear-end that facilitates quick gear change, I don't think you'll ever use any adjustable feature of a clutch-type LSD consider the work to remove/reinstall the LSD and realign the bearings.

i dont know if there is one available for the S but for the Z and G35 the Nismo diff is adjustable. you just need to take one side of the axle off and insert a wrench and clickit to your liking. one of our costomers has this and i just thought that there should be one available for the S also if there is one for the Z. do you know of any?
