Where's Thread 105368
I'm getting a Check Engine Light, and everybit of research I do on this I find XViper saying to do everything in the following thread:
http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.p...threadid=105368
...followed by everyone saying "Yep, that fixed it. Thanks XViper".
But when I clidk on the thread, I get an "You do not have permission to view this topic" message.
And now I understand XViper has retired (bad loss). Does anybody know where the thread went to, or how to regain that information?
Thanks,
T.

Another board member just asked me to take some photos of the correct routing of the vacuum lines after a CAI installation. I thought I'd put this here as it is a fairly common problem ("Check Engine Light" coming on) over time.
These lines "begin" and "end" here:
(Just under the corner of the fuel injector cover, one on top of the other.)
Photo V1.jpg[/PHOTO]
Let's start with the TOP one and follow it:
(It goes immediately to that little white check valve. Note its orientation.)
Photo V2.jpg[/PHOTO]
From the check valve, it goes into this cannister (this is mounted on the cross beam under the stock air box). (NOTE: disregard the darker pulley. You won't have this unless you have a supercharger.)
Photo V3.jpg[/PHOTO]
And then it exits the same cannister, but out the other side:
Photo V4.jpg[/PHOTO]
From there, it goes into this little valve assembly (note which hose goes in and which hose goes out). The one from the cannister in the previous pic goes into the "right angle" fitting that comes out the END of the valve assembly. The other "straight" fitting (closest to my thumb) then goes back up to the "bottom" line in the first pic.
Photo vacuum 5.jpg[/PHOTO]
If you got a "CEL", then you need to correct the vacuum line routing as in these pics, then "reset" the "CEL" or it will stay on for a while. To do this, you need to pull the fuse in the 3rd SLOT (ECU backup fuse) on the right row of fuse in the underdash fuse panel. On Canadian cars, it is the 3rd fuse. On US (and other) cars WITHOUT "DRL's", it will be the 2nd fuse you find. Pull the fuse for about 30 seconds with the car OFF, put the fuse back in.
If you still get a CEL after this, then ...............................
You reeeeally did it, Eddie! wink.gif
ps. Some recent information if all of the above didn't cure the problem:
