I installed Aaron's Bitterbar in my car and can attest to it's strength, fittiment and overall wicked looks. But before you get involved in this project, realize that you've got to be pretty committed to tear your car apart (the hardest part of the install is taking out all the plastic factory crap) and if you want to give it a nice clean factory look afterwards, you're going to have to get a good interior shop to do it for you unless you know a few things about forming plastic or sewing leather. Personally, I think unfinished sheetmetal looks pukka, so it doesn't bother me one bit.
For safety reasons, you've got to get a 4 or 5 pt. harness ($200) and an aftermarket seat (~$300 & up) and a seat bracket ($245 from Scienceofspeed). Aaron is selling a Red Sparco Seat + mounting base & a Sparco harness, so you can get a good deal if he's still got 'em. The harness mount I bought from him puts the angle of the shoulder harnesses beyond a non-spine compressing 45 deg. angle if the aftermarket seat isn't lowered to the floor (Aaron's seat I think is 3" lower than stock, which would put the mounts in the right place and the harness at a safe angle).
It's no small project, but IMHO it's totally worth it--especially if I ever end up rubber side up! Who wants to end up like Superman?
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
