could anyone please help me!!
after spending hours today trying to fit my amp and sub in my trunk and rooting all the wires etc (hands cut to shreds!!) the thing aint working!
There is power coming from the live- BUT i think the few earths i have tried just arent working!
WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO PUT AN EARTH WIRE IN THE BOOT/TRUNK??

It seems to me that the bits of metal under the carpet arent good enough to earth!
does anyone know of a good place? will i have to scrape much paint away!!

I just love the way you Brits talk. "Earth", "Boot". I had to make my mind do a double take to know you were talking about the "ground" in the "trunk".

Pull back the liner that's near where you have the amp. Find a bolt that goes into the frame. That'll be it. Use a big "U" clip on the end of the earth wire and put this under the bolt head. You shouldn't have any problems finding bolts back there in the boot.
Don't scrape paint. It's should be necessary.

Im never sure what diff places call their car bits and bats.

Yeah im a brit and wish we had more 'ROOF OFF' weather- it will be here soon and hopefully i will be pumping my bass!!!!
