where does drivetrain power loss come from?

The driveshaft is steel. I cut one in half and welded it to half a Supra driveshaft for my home made car, Not a lot of weight to be save there though. Clutch, pressure plate and flywheel is a better saving due to higher centrifugal mass. Accessory pulleys (massively underrated) wheels and brakes are also good places to lose weight. Still all these are high cost for small returns.
