where does drivetrain power loss come from?

The driveshaft is steel. I cut one in half and welded it to half a Supra driveshaft for my home made car, Not a lot of weight to be save there though. Clutch, pressure plate and flywheel is a better saving due to higher centrifugal mass. Accessory pulleys (massively underrated) wheels and brakes are also good places to lose weight. Still all these are high cost for small returns.

Me too! At first I didn't notice the dates. Then one of the posts mentioned xviper, and I was like, oh wait, when is this from?
