Am i supposed to notice a crossover point to vtec with my SOT kit? So far i cant seem to feel it like it was N/A.

Since we are asking about vtec and the EMS.........i figured id throw this one out there.
ur vtec should be set like marks to 4k rpm load based. the only way u might feel it is if you punch it at 3500 and climb past 4. otherwise, should be pretty seamless. so how you liking the power so far?

Ok that explains it better. Really i dont have time or the means to notice the crossover in 1st or 2nd. It's a handfull and requires total attention.

Well i love it to be honest. I am a bit bummed about the clutch issue though. It REALLY needs better clamping force. Just have to save up i suppose. The only mental notes i have taken so far that arent totally positve are the jumpiness while barely in the throttle, and the idle rpms are a bit high at times. Other than that the SOT kit is very responsive and sounds mean as hell.

my experience with an Eaton blower on Honda motor is that the transition into VTEC becomes virtually seamless. on the one hand you don't "feel" VTEC kick on but on the other hand you're going so much faster

Stock VTEC engages at 6000RPM. I saw a graph of stock dyno, and power actually start to drop off before VTEC. So when it kicks in, it engages a different lobe of cams and immediately improves efficiency. That's the kick we feel. But if you were to reprogram stock engine's transition point lower, you would have same exact numbers, not feel the transition (only hear it), and not have the dip in power just before the transition.
