Where to buy a Metric Only Tool Set
#11
I too agree with most that there can be huge cost savings from buying a variety of tools from Harbor Freight i.e. breaking bars, reducers, fluid pumps, sockets, even there $12 click-it torque wrench, etc... However my main tool box is composed of Proto-Black Hawk, Craftsman, Bluepoint, Wiha, etc... I often shop www.ebay.com and www.all-spec.com.

Go to a good swap meet and you'll find used Craftsman tools. Buy what you need individually. Not only is Craftsman quality acceptible for almost all their hand tools but they carry a lifetime warranty.
When you need 12 pt for a limited work angle you'll be crying that you don't have 'em. I had to expand my kit for those.
Consider trying the Gearwrench series. They rock.

If you too want to destroy your car, your tools, and your sanity, then Craftsman is the brand for you.

I got the older craftsman and want to stick with them Some of the harbor freight tools aren't in spec either -.- After using a whole lot of tools, it goes.... Snap-on > old craftsman > harbor freight > even crappier cheap sets If you want to keep your bolts in good condition on your car, go with a quality set, anything else and you risk stripping something or rounding something out.
